News & Community

SEH America's commitment to quality and continuous improvement in our products is carried over to our commitment to the local and global community.  We are proud of our tradition of investing time, resources, and leadership in the Vancouver area and beyond.   Here is a sample of how we are making a difference...

A Partner In Learning

Commun2.jpgSEH America believes investing in our schools is investing in our future. We have partnered with the  Evergreen School District to provide opportunities for school students to explore careers in a variety of math, science, technology, and manufacturing related fields.

Our High School Internship Program supports young people in learning new skills, increases confidence in their own abilities, and gives them excellent experience for their resumes.  The interns work on dedicated projects under the guidance and supervision of SEH employee "Mentors".  Some employees have even returned after graduation as SEH America employees.

Employee Generosity

We are extremely proud of the generosity of employees.  Employees have donated hundreds of toys and clothing items to local low income children, as well as clothing, food, and gifts for entire households.

Some of the organizations supported are Salvation Army, SHARE House, and Next Step.

Global Relief Efforts

SEH-A employees have contributed to help those affected by natural disaster like the Haiti disaster and Japan.  The Company has then matched the employee donations.

Commun4.jpgCultural Awareness

As a Japanese owned company, we believe in celebrating our cultural diversity and the friendship between the two countries. Dr. Chihiro Kanagawa, CEO of SEC (Shin-Etsu Chemical Co. Ltd.), the parent company of SEH America, established a beautiful Japanese friendship garden Clark College created on Clark's main campus.

Armed Services Support

We've been dedicated to supporting active military personnel, their families, and veterans through hiring event and programs and maintaining policies that support reservists.
